The S-Mark product certification is mandatory according to Resolution 92/98 of the Argentinean government for all electrical and electronic products with a nominal supply voltage in excess of 50V. S Mark is a symbol which shows that electrical and electronic products have been independently tested and certified by a third party and that they comply with applicable European safety requirements. With the S Mark, your product may be sold throughout the EU without further safety testing or certification. The testing and certification regimen for the S Mark is the basis for CE marking and the required documentation.
When electrical and electronic products are tested for the Fire, electric shock, mechanical injuries, radiation injuries and burns and certain types of environmental damage this shows that products are safe for use. As a European safety mark, the S Mark communicates to that your products are safe.
